What is on offer: Before eating at restaurant Greenaway I had no idea of what to expect, but I needn’t have worried. The cooking is very original and the service attentive without being overbearing. Compared to some other fine dining establishments in Edinburgh (Kitchin, Castle Terrace or Wedgwood) the cooking is less rustic and more centred around creativeness. On the day I tried the 8 course tasting menu and was taken by all the dishes although did feel that with some dishes there was perhaps 1 ingredient too many. However, overall Restaurant Mark Greenaway certainly deserves its place amongst the better fine dining establishments in Edinburgh.
