Village East on Urbanspoon

Square Meal

The competition on Bermondsey street these days is fierce. However, when we first moved to the area years ago there wasn’t much apart from Village East and The Garrison. It’s a testament to the quality of these restaurants that they’re still thriving after many years of serious culinary competition.  We hadn’t been to Village East for a while and were eager to try out their new menu.

We’re happy to report that the food at Village East is as good as ever. Every dish we tried tasted great and the burger was brilliant. We loved the service at Village East as well. Our waitress had real spunk, was on the job and had a great personality.
