Michael Wignall at the Latymer is one of those restaurants that you wish were nearer to where you live. The food is stunning, the service great and the surroundings mesmerizing. This is undoubtedly on of the best restaurants in the UK and well worth
a paying a visit.
Located in the idyllic surroundings of the Pennyhill Park hotel in Surrey and awarded with two Michelin stars, Michael Wignall at the Latymer offers the perfect proposition for a special dining experience. The interior is very quaint / cottage style (somewhat similar to for instance Holbeck Ghyll in Windermere).
When we visited Michael Wignall at the Latymer we tried the tasting menu, which consisted of the following dishes:

All the dishes of the tasting menu at Michael Wignall at the Latymer were a success. One thing that particularly surprised us about the cooking at the Latymer is how modern and adventurous the dishes are (we incorrectly were expecting stuffy out-of-date classical dishes). What is clear is that Michael Wignall is a highly accomplished chef who likes to combine tastes and textures with great success.
The total bill at Michael Wignall at the Latymer came to £360 (including 2 tasting menus, 1 wine flight and service charge).
