“The trend is your fickle friend”…most Foodies are herd-like creatures that are slavishly looking for the next new joint to fulfil their ever changing food cravings, guided by what’s considered trendy cuisine at any particular time. FoodiesontheProwl completely fits this bill of ‘food-zombies’ and one of the big trends of London’s food scene of the past 2 years has been that of…you guessed it…glorious, succulent, makes-me-crave-for-even-more burgers. We recently tried out some of MEATmarket’s product offering and it left us wanting to try more creations of the people behind MEATliquor and consortium. Bring on MEATmission!
Is MEATmission a great milestone, worthy of a chapter in the annals of London’s culinary history?…uh no. Does it fill those fickle zombie food cravings that are currently in vogue of not-too-expensive-we-are-in-a-multi-year-recession-after all-but-I-still-want-my-MEAT cravings? Uh, yes! Food zombie foodies stamp of approval.
When we visited MEATmission we tried out the following dishes:
- Green chilli cheeseburger (8.5/10)
- Peckham dip: roast beef and fried onions in a roll (6.5/10)
- Fried pickles (7/10)
- Monkey fingers: battered fillets of marinated chicken (7.5/10)
Total bill at MEATmission came to £42 (including service charge).
