We’ve been to Joel Robuchon in Paris (St. Germain) before and absolutely loved it so we were very curious how the London restaurant compares…very favourable.

The interior at Joel Robuchon is very similar to the one in St. Germain, just smaller. Although to be fair, we were on the ground floor and Joel Robuchon in London has three different levels (second level is more formal, but contains similar dishes and third level contains a cocktail bar and lounge area).

This time we decided not to go for the Joel Robuchon tasting menu, but rather tried several of the smaller tasting dishes. We loved the Quail with mashed potatoes, the Duck confit was divine, so was the foie gras and selection of tarts was a superb choice for dessert. But to be honest, not one dish disappointed.

I have to make special mention of the service at Joel Robuchon, which was really good. Both the sommelier as well as our head waiter spared no expense and made sure that we were well taken care of.

We’ll definitely be back to the London branch of Joel Robuchon.
