We haven’t had a chance yet to visit the first and original restaurant off Chancery Lane, but visited 28-50 Winebar in Marlybone for the first time and were impressed.

The food at 28-50 Winebar in Marlyebone is really good. Which is no wonder given that the restaurant is owned by the same people behind one of the best restaurants in London, the 1 Michelin star Texture (see review).

For starters we had the charchutterie sharing platter, the gazpacho and the beetroot salad. All the starter dishes at 28-50 Winebar in Marlybone were nice, fresh summery dishes.
For mains we opted for the Grilled pork with polenta and broccoli and the Duck Leg confit with asian vegetables. Both mains at 28-50 Winebar in Marlybone were superb dishes packed full of flavour.
Next we tried the cheese platter as well as the Chocolate tart and the Lemon tart. All really nice.

What we also liked is that 28-50 Winebar have a lot of wine by the glasses and that they offer them in different sizes (75ml is the smallest, which allows you to try many different wines). We had 7 glasses of wine and the bill (incl. service) came to £120.
One tip: do make sure that the bill reflects what you ate and drank. With so many different wines on offers, it’s easy that you get billed for wine or platters that you didn’t have.
